25+ yds of 1960s-70s vintage deadstock cut velvet upholstery fabric in a diagonal basket weave/brick pattern. Repeat is 8.5" vertical x 6.75" horizontal. 55" width. While soft to the touch like cotton velvet, burn test result is a self-extinguishing hard melt, most likely nylon, or poly-acrylic.
This roll previously kept in musty warehouse storage but upon arrival at Miller Upholstering workroom, we found it extremely workable after cleaning our pre-measured cuts (railroaded - see 3rd image) for project use. Laundering this fabric softens and sanitizes with no color, shrinkage or quality loss of any kind, and actually enhanced the hand of fabric for upholstery application. Email us to request a free sample swatch if considering this remarkable color and texture for pillows, cushions, or larger furnishings. Not suitable for drapery.
All orders will receive 25% - 50% extra to ensure best cuts for your project. Buyers encouraged to email us workroom's layout of cuts, and we'll give it a good look before rolling out your order. The few flaws of pin-point and narrow line rusting prevent us from claiming "pristine" yardage, but this vintage fabric still extremely workable and desireable.
