3 pieces of Depression Era furniture with it's elaborate edge banding and inlay of printed papers, veneer, etched mirror and bakelite and brass pulls make this a very pretty piece.
Drawers have dovetail joinery, thin board for drawer bottoms and backs. Dresser rolls easily on wooden caster wheels. Waterfall top of dresser shows wear typical of a piece of wood furniture still functioning and looking decorative well into it's 90s! Sun-fading, small surface stains and scratches - all that good patina that tells the story of all who've placed their jewelry and perfume bottles there.
Though these were mass manufactured for a financially pressed people and time, they have withstood the era's and remain pieces worth keeping. Would restore at a woodworkers beautifully and if the buyer is local - I'll be happy to name you a few.
Like the Carved Teak Sofa I have available, I've moved the dresser and nightstand to my Vendor80 stall at Minnepolis' Loft Antiques, where I'm a new vendor, Yay! It is on view and available for purchase there as well as here online.
