Vintage Outdoor Redwood Tandem Seat/Umbrella Table
...with fabulous cushions, needless to say!
I've always wanted to do this style of vintage outdoor furniture in red, white and blue to celebrate summer in a graphic, 4th of July kind of way. The colors look great in a lush, green backyard or patio decked out for the season. Sunbrella discontinued several patterns from their Shibori Indigo collection, but not before I got my hands on 3 yds of this vibrant and sturdy double woven. That's all I needed to fabricate 4 new cushions to transform this vintage two-seater along with muliple coats of fresh paint. Minneapolis’ own Hirschfield's House & Trim acrylic satin in Codman Claret gives a fresh update to vintage "Red Wood" furniture from the 70s. Rusty red base like Redwood of old, yes - but add a hot dose of magenta. That ought to keep this bench colorful and comfortable for many seasons to come.
